Die Protein O-Mannosylierung ist für die Hefezelle eine essentielle Proteinmodifikation. Der initiale Schritt, bei dem ein Mannosylrest von Dolicholphosphat-Mannose (Dol-P-Man) auf Ser/Thr-Seitenketten sekretorischer Proteine übertragen wird, erfolgt im endoplasmatischen Retikulum. Translation of the abstract (English)

Protein O-mannosylation is an essential protein modification in yeast. It is initiated at the endoplasmic reticulum, by a family of protein O-mannosyltransferases (Pmtps). These enzymes catalyze the transferreaction of a mannosyl residue from dolichyl phosphate-mannose (Dol-P-Man) to Ser/Thr residues of secretory proteins.
