Das 55kDa-Genprodukt der frühen Transkriptionseinheit 1B (E1B-55kDa) von Adenovirus Typ 5 ist ein multifunktioneller Regulator der Zellzyklus-unabhängigen adenoviralen Replikation. Dabei kontrolliert es zahlreiche Prozesse wie z.B. die proteolytische Degradation des Tumorsuppressorproteins p53, den selektiven viralen mRNA Transport ins Zytoplasma und das Abschalten der Wirtsproteinsynthese. ...

The human subgroup C adenoviral E1B-55kDa protein is a multifunctional regulator of cell cycle-independent adenovirus replication that controls several processes, including proteolytic degradation of the tumor suppressor protein p53, selective viral late mRNA transport to the cytoplasm, and shut-off of host cell protein synthesis.
