Abstract (English)

The ant genus Cardiocondyla is characterised by the occurrence of �workerlike�, ergatoid males that mate inside the nest. In many species of this genus, �normal�, winged males occur in addition, and a dimorphism of wingless and winged males is exhibited. Die Ameisengattung Cardiocondyla zeichnet sich durch arbeiterinnenähnliche, ergatoide Männchen aus, die sich im Nest verpaaren. In vielen Arten der Gattung treten neben diesen ergatoiden Männchen auch noch die �normalen�, geflügelten Ameisenmännchen auf, so dass ein Männchendimorphismus zu beobachten ist.
