Abstract (German)

Es wurde die hormonelle Stimulation der mechanischen Integration von nativem Gelenkknorpel aus einem Kalbsknie im Vergleich zur Integration von Gelenkknorpelregeneraten untersucht. Während Insulin auf beide Knorpelgruppen eine integrationssteigernde Wirkung hatte, zeigte sich bei Testosteron eine unterschiedliche Reaktion. Die Integration des nativen Gelenknorpels konnte deutlich gesteigert werden, die des Regeneratknorpels nicht.
Dies deutet auf unterschiedliche Verarbeitungswege hin, welche in Zukunft genauer untersucht werden müssen.

Translation of the abstract (English)

The stimulation of the articular cartilage repair by testosterone and insulin in an in vitro modell is compared to the repair of tissue engineered cartilage. It was shown that there are different effects on both cartilage groups. While insulin raises the intergation of both groups, testosterone only had a positive effect on the native cartilage integration, not on tissue engineered cartilage. The raison for that are probably different metabolic structure in those two cartilage groups, which should be further investigated in future.
