Abstract (German)

Dies ist die erste klinische Studie, die die Rolle von COX-2 für die Prostaglandin-I2 Freisetztung nach Manipulation am Dünndarm und Ziehen am Mesenterium behandelt. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigen eine starke Zunahme von PGI2-Freisetztung nach Ziehen am Darm welche nicht durch die Vorbehandlung der Patienten mit einem selektiven COX-2 Inhibitor beeinflusst wurde. Wir fassen zusammen, dass die durch das Ziehen am Mesenterium ausgelöste PGI2-Freisetzung während abdominal-chirurgischen Eingriffen durch die COX-1 vermittelt wird.

Translation of the abstract (English)

This is the first clinical study investigating the role of COX-2 for the PGI2 formation following mesenteric traction. Our data show a strong increase of PGI2 release after tracton to the bowel which was not influenced by pretreatment of patients with a selective COX-2 inhibitor. We conclude that mesenteric traction-induced PGI2 formation during abdominal surgery is mediated by COX-1.
