Abstract
Der vollständige Einschluss des ortho-Carborans durch ein Fulleren-artiges Bausteinsystem aus Pentaphosphaferrocen und CuICl führt zur Bildung des sphärischen Supermoleküls C2B10H12§[12(CuCl)20]. Dieses Produkt einer templatkontrollierten Aggregation ist das erste Kohlenstoff-freie C80-Analogon mit Ikosaedersymmetrie.
