Abstract

The metalla-norbornadiene complex 1, extended by two phosphaalkyne units in the 1,4-position, is formed by an unprecedented pentamerization of the phosphaalkyne MesCP (Mes=2,4,6-Me3C6H2) in the coordination sphere of the transition metal complex [W(CO)5(thf)].
