Abstract

[LWPGaCl3] 5 [L = N(CH2CH2NSiMe3)3] is prepared by treatment of [LWP] with (GaCl3)2; decomposition of 5 in CH2Cl2 affords dimerisation under Me3SiCl elimination to give a cationic W2P2 tetrahedral complex 6; both complexes are structurally characterised.
