Abstract

The antitumor activity of stereoisomers of the title complex (I) in several tumor models (MDA-MB 231 breast cancer cell line; mouse P 388 leukemia, mouse L 1210 leukemia, rat L 5222 leukemia, and mouse wild-type Ehrlich ascites tumor resistant to cisplatin, etoposide, cyclophosphamide, and daunomycin, resp.) is described. For comparison, the analogous [1,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethylenediamine]dichloroplatinum (II)-complexes are used. The antitumor activity of the combination of I stereoisomers with cisplatin is reported. Structure-activity relations are described.
