Abstract

The condensation of 3-HOC6H4CH(OH)CH2NH2 with RR1CO gave 3-HOC6H4CH(OH)CH2N:CHR [R = Ph, 3-anisyl, 3,4-(MeO)2C6H3] and oxazolidines I (R1 = H, R = same as above; R = R1 = Me). The azomethines administered to cats in doses of 0.5 * 10-6 and 1 * 10-6 moles/kg i.v. showed antihypotensive activity similar to norfenefrine.
