Abstract
The reaction of ZCHPrC==N (Z = piperidino throughout this abs.) with Na in MePh gave ZCH2Pr, b15 64 Deg, and ZCHPrCHPrZ, where as in liq. NH3 only ZCH2Pr was obtained. The mechanism is discussed.
