Abstract (German)

Das Prostatakarzinom ist der häufigste maligne Tumor des Mannes, durchschnittlich erkrankt jeder 7. Mann im Laufe seines Lebens daran. Als etablierte Prognosefaktoren dienen bisher die TNM-Klassifikation, der PSA-Wert und der Gleason Score. Jedoch gelingt es auch zum heutigen Zeitpunkt trotz modernster Methoden noch nicht den Krankheitsverlauf der Patienten ausreichend vorherzusagen. Aus diesem Grund wurde in unserer Studie die Angiogenese (Gefäßanzahl, Gefäßfläche, Gefäßabstände) bezüglich ihrer prognostischen Aussagekraft untersucht. Des Weiteren wurde der Einfluss der Maspinexpression auf das rezidivfreie bzw. Gesamtüberleben der Patienten analysiert und mit den Gefäßparametern korreliert.
Letztendlich wurde festgestellt, dass die Angiogenese keinen signifikanten Einfluss auf die Prognose der Patienten aufweisen konnte. Auch die Maspinexpression stand in unserer Studie in keinem signifikanten Zusammenhang zum Überleben der Patienten.

Translation of the abstract (English)

Prostate cancer is the most frequent malignant tumour of man. On an average every 7th man in the course of his life falls ill with it. As established forecast factors serve up to now the TNM classification, the PSA value and the Gleason score. However, one also does not succeed at the today's time in spite of the most modern methods yet in predicting the illness course of the patients enough. That's why the angiogenesis (microvessel count, vascular surface area, intervascular distances) was examined in our study with regard to her prognostic explanatory power. Besides the influence of the maspin expression on rezidiv-free or whole survival of the patients was analysed and correlated with the vascular parameters.
At last it was found out that the angiogenesis could show no significant influence on the forecast of the patients. Also the maspin expression stood in our study in no significant connection to the survival of the patients.
