Abstract (German)

Diese multizentrische prospektive klinische Studie beschäftigt sich mit der Bedeutung von NT-proBNP als Laborparameter zur präoperativen Risikostratifizierung hinsichtlich der peri- und postoperativen Komplikationen bei nicht-kardiochirurgischen Operationen. Nach Analyse der 974 Studienteilnehmer erwies sich NT-proBNP als unabhängiger Risikofaktor für die Endpunkte major cardiac adverse event (= kombinierter Endpunkt aus Tod, Herzinfarkt, Kammerflimmern/ Kreislaufstillstand, Reanimation und dekompensierte Herzinsuffizienz), Gesamtmortalität, Tod kardialer Genese, Kammerflimmern/ Kreislaufstillstand, Reanimation, Sepsis, akutes Nierenversagen.

Translation of the abstract (English)

This multicentre prospective clinical study is engaged with the importance of NT-proBNP as a laboratory parameter for preoperative risk assessment concerning peri- and postoperative complications of noncardiac surgeries. After analyzing 974 study participants NTproBNP was proved to be an independent risk factor of the endpoints major cardiac adverse event (= combined endpoint of death, myocardial infarction, ventricular fibrillation/ circulatory arrest, reanimation and decompensated heart failure), over all mortality, cardiac death, ventricular fibrillation/ circulatory arrest, reanimation, sepsis,acute renale failure.
