Abstract
Quant. measurements of the optical consts. (4-170 cm-1) of 3 org. liqs. and their dil. solns. in CCl4 are interpreted in terms of mol. relaxation processes arising from solute-solute and solute-solvent interactions. The behavior of MeOH and HCONHMe on diln. is quite different from that of DMF, emphasizing the importance of H-bonding potentials in the former two liqs.
