Abstract

We investigate both experimentally and by means of micromagnetic calculations magnetic states preceding vortex formation in permalloy nanodisks. In experiment, we used micro-Hall sensors fabricated from GaAs/AlGaAs heterojunction material to measure stray field hysteresis loops of individual disks.
