in 2+1 Dimensionen.

The SU(2) colour flux tube model is proposed as an alternative consideration in solving the anomalous suppression in the flavor singlet axial component of the
first moment of the polarized proton structure function g_1. Using the non-perturbative Hamiltonian formalism of Discretized Light-Cone Quantization
(DLCQ), the polarization and depolarization of gluon matter can be explained by the dynamical and the constrained zero mode in this model. It is shown that the
nontrivial topology of the pure SU(2) Yang-Mills vacuum on the light-cone is bound up with the scale variance of the QCD in the flavor singlet axial channel.
The model has two ground states which are of qualitative different structures. In the high energy regime, the potential of the dynamical gauge zero mode
dominates the gluon properties. Gluons are like quasiparticles without interactions and with effective masses and aligned spin. In the low energy
regime, the effective potential of the constrained zero mode governs that of the dynamical zero mode. It turns out to have a double-well oscillator shape.
Gluons become string-like singlet states with spin zero. All the above results follow from the equations of motion of pure Yang-Mills theory in 2+1 dimensions.
There is no dependence on a factorization scheme. The numerical results are in accordance with the experimental data. This article will be an approach to a
better understanding of not only the spin distribution problem in the proton and the polarization mechanism of gluon matter but also the mechanism of
confinement and mass creation.
