ERß ist Teil der Steroidhormonrezeptorfamilie und gilt als Tumorsuppressor. Er beststeht aus 8 Exons, sowie mindestens zwei Promotern. Daraus entstehen die Hauptvarianten beta 1, 2 und 5, sowie durch alternatives Splicen verschiedene Exondeletionsvarianten. Estrogen receptor beta (ERß) is part of the steroid hormone receptor family and mainly described as a tumor suppressor. The receptor consists of eight exons and at least two promoters.
