Pigment Epithelium Derived Factor (PEDF) is a 46-50 kDa monomeric glycoprotein. The protein has a unique combination of functions and to date has been described to have antiangiogenic, neuroprotective and antivasopermeability properties, as well as differentiating activity for certain neuronal and tumor cells.
