Die Zellwände (Frustule) von Diatomeen (z.B. Thalassiosira pseudonana) enthalten ungewöhnliche langkettige Polyamine, wie z. B. Oktamine. Translation of the abstract (English)

Shells of Diatoms (e.g. Thalassiosira pseudonana) contain unusual long chain polyamines (for exampel oktamine). It was hypothesized that an N-aminopropyltransferase like enzyme is responsible for the synthesis of such long chain polyamines.
