Abstract
The hexameric complex [Sn6O4(OCH34] shows a low temperature (77 K) photoluminescence of moderate intensity at λmax=565nm. This emission is assumed to originate from a metal-centered sp excited state which is modified by metal-metal interaction in the octahedral Sn(II)6 cluster.
