Abstract
The photochemical conversion of M(CO)6 (M
= Cr, Mo, W) to M(CO)5X- (X= halogen) across a hexam/
water interface leads to a separation of the reactant and product. This process may be of general lmportence
for synthetic applications. Under suitable conditions inner-
filter and secondary photolysis can be avoided.
