Abstract (German)

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden Untersuchungen zu beiden Syntheserouten zur Generierung homoatomarer Polyanionen in flüssigem Ammoniak durchgeführt, zum einen die Solvatation von Festkörperverbindungen, zum anderen die direkte Reduktion.
Die direkte Reduktion wurde in einem Eintopfverfahren untersucht, bei dem tert-Butanol deprotoniert und das jeweilige Element durch das eingesetzte Alkalimetall direkt reduziert wurde. Im Zuge dieser Experimente konnten neue Verbindungen mit den homoatomaren Polyanionen Sn44–, P42–, P73– und As73– charakterisiert werden. Die vergleichsweise kurze Kristalliationsdauer von zahlreichen Kristallen und die Abwesenheit von kristallinen tert-Butanolaten führte zur Vermutung von spezifischen Ioneneffekten von diesen Alkoholaten in flüssigem Ammoniak, die die Löslichkeit und damit auch Kristallisation von bestimmtem Zintl-Verbindungen signifikant beeinflussen.
Im Rahmen von Solvatationsexperimenten wurden zunächst die eingesetzten Festkörperverbindungen einer Charakterisierung unterzogen, um im Anschluss Aussagen über das Verhalten verschiedener Käfigspezies in Lösung treffen zu können. Dabei konnte ein neues ternäres Silicid Cs{(Cs, K)6(K(Si4)2)} charakterisiert werden.
Aus den Ergebnissen der Kristallisationsexperimente wurde die Transformation von Tetrastannid- in Pentastannidanionen abgeleitet.
In temperaturabhängigen NMR-Experimenten konnte gezeigt werden, dass ab einer Temperatur von 60 °C eine zuvor amidfreie und wasserfreie abgeschmolzene Silicid-Probe unter Bildung von Amiden reagierte, was auf die Anwesenheit und Reaktion von Siliciden zurückzuführen ist.
Die Umsetzung von „K6Rb6Si17“ mit Ni(CO)2(PPh3)2 und 18-Krone-6 lieferte den ersten Übergangsmetallkomplex eines Nonasilicidanions [(Rb@18-Krone-6]2[K@18-Krone-6]2Rb4[{Ni(CO)2}2(µ-Si9)2]•22NH3 mit dem Komplexanion [{Ni(CO)2}2(µ-Si9)2]8–.

This thesis includes investigations concerning both synthetic routes to obtain homoatomic polyanions in solution of liquid ammonia, direct reduction at low temperatures and dissolving of solid state materials. In a one-pot-process, alkaline metal was additionally used for deprotonation of tert-butylalcohol, besides reducing the elements tin, phosphorus and arsene. In the course of these investigations new compounds containing homoatomic polyanions Sn44–, P42–, P73– and As73– could be characterized. The short time of crystallisation of numerous crystals lead to the assumption of specific ion effects of tert-butanolate in liquid ammonia, which significantly influences solubility and therefore crystallisation of Zintl ion containing compounds.
For dissolution experiments the used solid state materials were characterized by powder diffraction-, raman- and MAS-NMR-studies to allow conclusions about the behaviour of certain cage compounds in solution. Thereby, a new ternary silicide Cs{(Cs, K)6(K(Si4)2)} could be characterized.
From the results of the crystallisation experiments from solution the transformation of tetrastannide anions Sn44– to pentastannide anions Sn52– was deduced.
Temperature dependent 1H-NMR investigations in showed that a water and amide-free fused sample of ammonia silicide solution reacted above temperatures of –60°C by amide generation. This can be traced back to the fact of silicide anions in solution and their reaction with liquid ammonia.
The reaction of „K6Rb6Si17“ with Ni(CO)2(PPh3)2 and 18-crown-6 lead to the formation of the first transition metal complex of a nonasilicide anion [(Rb@18-Krone-6]2[K@18-Krone-6]2Rb4[{Ni(CO)2}2(µ-Si9)2]•22NH3 containing the complex anion [{Ni(CO)2}2(µ-Si9)2]8–.
