In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden klinische und histopathologische Daten von Patienten mit Nierenzellkarzinom aus dem Beobachtungszeitraum Januar 1992 bis Dezember 2007 retrospektiv ausgewertet. Verglichen wurden die Entwicklungen innerhalb der Untersuchungszeiträume 1992–1995, 1996–1999, 2000–2003 und 2004–2007.
Die Auswertungen erbrachten eine aus anderen Kollektiven bekannte Geschlechts- und Altersverteilung, der Anteil von Patienten über 75 Jahren stieg genauso wie der junger Patienten bis 45 Jahren im Untersuchungszeitraum statistisch signifikant an. Der Anteil von Zufallsbefunden blieb konstant auf hohem Niveau, während der von Patienten mit präoperativer Schnittbilddiagnostik von 88 auf 98% statistisch signifikant anstieg. Tumoren des Stadiums pT1a nahmen statistisch signifikant zu und damit einhergehend auch der Anteil von Nierenteilresektionen von 4 auf 25 %.
Die Ergebnisse belegen, dass sich aus den technischen und therapeutischen Entwicklungen tatsächlich klinische Vorteile für die Patienten ergeben. Dabei muß im Rahmen weiterer Auswertungen untersucht werden, ob und wie sich dies letztlich auf die Prognose der Patienten auswirkt.

In this study clinical and histopathological data of patients with renal cell carcinoma of the observation period January 1992 to December 2007 were evaluated retrospectively. We compared the developments over the study periods 1992-1995, 1996-1999, 2000-2003 and 2004-2007.
The evaluations provided a well-known sex and age distribution as found in other collectives, the proportion of patients over 75 years rose just as the young patients to 45 years statistically significant. The proportion of incidental findings remained constant at a high level, while that of patients with preoperative diagnostic imaging increased statistically significant from 88 % to 98 %. Tumors of stage pT1a increased statistically significant as, consequently, the proportion of nephrectomy from 4 to 25%.
The results show that the technical and therapeutic developments brought in fact clinical benefits for patients. Further analysis is needed to examine whether and how this is impacting ultimately on prognosis of patients.
