Abstract

The complexes C,C-trans-[Pt(C^N^C)L]z [C^N^C is bisdeprotonated 2,6-diphenylpyridinate (dppy²⁻); L = CO, Me2SO (dmso), ethylenediamine (en), CN⁻, pyrazine (pz), P(C₆F₅)₃, 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bpy)] were synthesized and characterized by ¹H NMR, electronic, and emission spectroscopy.
