Abstract

Bone tissues of thirteen deceased persons were analyzed to determine the activity concentration of the radionuclides Ra-228, Th-228, Th-232 and Th-230. The activity ratios enable to assess the post-mortem-interval (PMI). The samples were prepared for analysis by incinerating and pulverizing. Ra-228 was directly detected by gamma-spectrometry.
