Abstract (English)
A new asymmetric approach towards a cis gamma-lactone amino acid-containing tetrapeptide and antitubercular cis, gamma-butyrolactones and gamma-substituted butenolides from cis- azidolactone acid is hereby described. In addition, a facile formal synthesis of (-)-Geissman-Waiss lactone from trans-azido trimethylsiloxycyclohexene is also reported.
