Abstract

An optical sensor for aqueous 1-butylamine is presented which combines two novel techniques: A fluorescent indicator dye (fluoro reactand) embedded in a thin polymer layer performs a reversible chemical reaction with the analyte, causing changes in luminescence intensity.
