Abstract

A short review is given of current knowledge of ion effects in solns., at interfaces, and in complex colloidal systems. Further to some key expts., recent and new theor. approaches are discussed and refs. of most important papers are given. Finally, an example of a dissipative, self-organizing system involving electrolyte solns. is mentioned.
