Abstract

A polemic in answer to D.-M. Duh and A.D.J. Haymet (ibid., 1994, 100, 2244). The question is discussed whether small‐angle neutron scattering measurements and their interpretation with continuum‐solvent models can yield reliable information about hydrophobic association of small organic ions in water.
