Abstract

The blue-light photo-reduction (conversion of oxidized flavin quinone via flavin semiquinone to fully reduced flavin hydroquinone) and dark re-oxidation of the flavins riboflavin and lumiflavin in starch (alpha-amylose) films was studied by absorption and luminescence spectroscopy.
