Abstract (German)

Um das Reaktionsverhalten zahnärztlicher Werkstoffe zu untersuchen, wurde mittels DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) das allgemeine Polymerisationsverhalten von 26 lichthärtenden dentalen Kunststoffen und von 12 darin üblicherweise vorkommenden Monomeren unter isothermen Bedingungen analysiert. Dabei wurden die dentalen Komposite unterschiedlichen Belichtungszeiten von 20, 40 und 60s jeweils im std- Modus ausgesetzt. In einer weiteren Versuchsreihe wurde die Lampeneinstellung variiert und die Belichtungsdauer konstant bei 40s gehalten.
Durch die Moduswahl konnte die Lichtleistung auf permanent 800 mW/cm2 (std- Modus) bzw. 450 mW/cm2 (med- Modus) oder so eingestellt werden, dass die Leistung bis maximal 800 mW/cm2 exponentiell anstieg (exp- Modus). Die Monomere wurden ausschließlich im std- Modus bei einer Belichtungszeit von 40s vermessen. Anschließend sind die Ergebnisse bezüglich ihrer Polymerisationswärme, -zeit, -temperatur und deren gemessenen Wärmeströme ausgewertet worden.

Translation of the abstract (English)

To examine the reaction behavior of dental materials was determined by DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) the general polymerization of 26 light-curing dental composites and from 12 to commonly occurring monomers under isothermal conditions analyzed. In this case the dental composites different exposure times of 20, 40 and 60s respectively exposed in std- mode. In another series of experiments, the lamp setting varies and the constant exposure maintained at 40s.
Through the mode dial, the light output was permanently on 800 mW/cm2 (std-mode) or 450 mW/cm2 (med- mode) or set that the performance of up to 800 mW/cm2 increased exponentially (exp-mode). The monomers were only in std- mode at an exposure time of 40 s measured. Subsequently, the results with respect to their polymerization, time, temperature and the measured heat flows been evaluated.
