Das Immunsystem ist tagtäglich an der Erhaltung eines Gleichgewichts zwischen pro- und anti-inflammatorischen Prozessen beteiligt. Unterschiedliche Faktoren, wie Infektionen, Tumore oder Allergene, können zu einer Dysbalance führen. Translation of the abstract (English)

The immune system is participating in the maintainance of a balance between pro- and anti-inflammatory processes on a daily basis. Diverse factors, like infections, tumors or allergens, can induce a dysbalance. The importance of tolerogenic dendritic cells in attenuation of autoimmunity is illustrated by the graft-versus-host-disease, in whose induction mature dendritic cells play a major role. Thus, this dissertation aims at investigating the induction of teolerogenic DCs.
