Das Protein Net1 bildet die Kernuntereinheit des nukleolären RENT-Komplexes, bestehend aus Net1, der Histon-Deacetylase Sir2 und der Proteinphosphatase Cdc14. Cdc14 stellt den Gegenspieler der Cyclin-abhängigen Kinase Cdc28 dar. Über seine Phosphatase-Aktivität moduliert Cdc14 den Phosphorylierungszustand von CDK-Substraten und ist am Abbau mitotischer Cycline am Ende der Mitose beteiligt. Cdc14 ...

Translation of the abstract (English)

The protein Net1 is known as core subunit of the nucleolar RENT-complex comprised of Net1, the histone deacetylase Sir2 and the protein phosphatase Cdc14. Net1 plays an important role in regulating Cdc14 activity. Cdc14 antagonizes mitotic CDK activity by modulating the phosphorylation state of CDK substrates and stimulating cyclin destruction by phosphorylating the APC/C specificity factor Hct1. ...
