Abstract (German)
Kopf-Hals-Tumoren gehören zu den häufigsten Malignomen weltweit. Bei zunehmend älter werdender Gesellschaft steigen auch die Erkrankungsfälle, die jenseits des 70. Lebensjahres auftreten. Dennoch sind ältere Patienten in klinischen Kollektiven und Studien unterrepräsentiert. Ziel dieser Arbeit war die Durchführbarkeit und die Therapieergebnisse eines Kollektives älterer Patienten mit Kopf-Hals-Tumoren zu erfassen und auszuwerten.
Translation of the abstract (English)
SCCHN belong to the frequent malignancies worldwide. In an aging society, also the incidence of SCCHN in elderly patients will rise.
Nevertheless, elderly patients are underrepresented in clinical trials and published collectives. The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of a radiotherapy or chemoradiation and the treatment results in an unselected collective of elderly patients with SCCHN.
