In this thesis the disorder-driven as well as the magnetic field-induced superconductor-insulator transition (SIT) in TiN thin films are investigated. The SIT is considered as canonic example of a quantum phase transition. It is by no means trivial to find the exact transition point in magnetic field or disorder.
