Das Ziel dieser Arbeit war die Einstellung und das Wissen über Palliativ- und Schmerzmedizin von Studenten der Humanmedizin der Universität Regensburg zu ermitteln.
Hierzu wurden Studenten aus drei Semester mittels eines erstellten Fragebogens über Ihre eigenen Einstellungen und ihr Interesse zu Palliativ- und Schmerzmedizin, über ihre Verbesserungsvorschläge und Wünsche bezüglich des Querschnittfaches 13 „Palliativ-und Schmerzmedizin“, über ihre Erwartungen an das Alter, über ihr Wissen und über Ihr Altersbild befragt.
Allgemein konnte festgestellt werden, dass das Interesse und die eigene Einstellung der Studenten zur Palliativ und Schmerzmedizin eher positiv zu bewerten sind. Das Wissen über Palliativ und Schmerzmedizin ließ allerdings zu wünschen übrig und ist mit Sicherheit noch ausbaufähig. Die Erwartungen an das eigen Alter waren eher hoch und auch das Altersbild zeigte sich eher positiv.
Abgeleitet von den erzielten Ergebnissen der Studentenbrafragung sollte eine mehr praxisorientierte und interdisziplinäre Lehre im Bereich der „Palliativ und Schmerzmedizin“ für die Studenten gestaltet werden.

The aim of this scientific paper was to examine the attitude and knowledge of the medical students oft he University of Regensburg about palliative medicine and pain medicine.
To achieve this a questionaire was handed out to students of three semesters to ask them about their
- attitude and interest in palliative and pain medicine
- proposals and wishes how to improve the cross-section subject/course 13 „Palliativ –und Schmerzmedizin“
- attitude towards the older generation
- knowledge concerning the subjec and their life expectation.
Generally it could be detected that the interest and and personal attitude of students towards palliative medicine and pain medicine can be assessed as mainly positive. Whereas the knowledge about palliative medicine and pain medicine was unsatisfactory and defenitely expandable/worth improving. Moreover the expectation on their own age/life expectation was quite high and the attitude towards the older generation mainly positive.
According to the results oft he survey it is advisable/can be recommended to create a more practical and interdisciplinary traineeship in the area „Palliativ und Schmerzmedizin.“
