Es konnte an einem relativ großen NAFLD-Patientenkollektiv gezeigt werden, dass es geschlechtsabhängige Unterschiede in der Expression von CMKLR1 bei NASH-Patienten gibt. NAFLD is the most common hepatic disease in western industrial nations. Chemerin, an adipokine with a known role in chemotaxis and inflammation, and its receptor CMKLR1 seem to modulate the progression of NAFLD to NASH.
