Abstract (English)

Chapter 2 deals with the synthesis of finely dispersed cobalt nanoparticles (Co-NP) and their application in the hydrogenation of over 60 different alkenes, alkynes, imines and heteroaromatics. The protocol presented was able to hydrogenate demanding substrates (e.g. trisubstituted olefins, quinolines) under moderate reaction conditions while tolerating ester, ether, fluoride, chloride, amine, ...
