Abstract (English)
This thesis shows the production of a new type of supported metal catalysts based on deep eutectic solvents (DES). First, an overview of the conventional production of activated carbon and the loading of metals is shown. This thesis shows the production of a new type of supported metal catalysts based on deep eutectic solvents (DES). First, an overview of the conventional production of activated carbon and the loading of metals is shown. For the development of the novel preparation method using DES, the catalysts were loaded with palladium. Thereby, the DES serves as a solvent for the metals and at the same time as a starting material for the supporting material. Using the DES method, only one step is necessary for the preparation of active supported metal catalysts. Subsequently, the method was used to produce two different copper catalysts for the electrochemical CO2 reduction.
