Abstract

ADAM17, a prominent member of the "Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase" (ADAM) family, controls vital cellular functions through cleavage of transmembrane substrates including TGF-alpha, Amphiregulin (AREG) and TNF-Receptor 1 (TNFR1).
