Using <em>Ustilago maydis</em> as a Trojan Horse for In Situ Delivery of Maize Proteins

Inspired by Homer's Trojan horse myth, we engineered the maize pathogen Ustilago maydis to deliver secreted proteins into the maize apoplast permitting in vivo phenotypic analysis.
