Abstract (German)

Raumfordernde spinale Meningeome werden häufig aufgrund einer allmählich fortschreitenden neurologischen Verschlechterung diagnostiziert und durch chirurgische Dekompression und Tumorresektion behandelt. Das Ziel dieser Dissertation war es, die morphologischen und anatomischen Details und die Symptomatologie der spinalen Meningeome darzustellen. Desweiteren wurde der postoperative Verlauf und der Einfluss des intraoperativen Monitorings auf das funktionelle postoperative Ergebnis analysiert.

Translation of the abstract (English)

Massive spinal meningiomas are often diagnosed as a result of gradually progressive neurological deterioration and are treated with surgical decompression and tumor resection. The aim of this dissertation was to present the morphological and anatomical details and the symptomatology of spinal meningiomas. Furthermore, the postoperative course and the influence of the intraoperative monitoring on the functional postoperative result were analyzed.
