ERAS® (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) ist ein perioperatives Behandlungsprotokoll mit breiter Akzeptanz in diversen chirurgischen Disziplinen. Die ERAS Leitlinie für lungenresezierende Eingriffe wurde 2019 veröffentlicht und trug zu intensiver Beschäftigung mit der perioperativen Medizin in diesem Fachgebiet bei. Das ERATS-Programm (Enhanced Recovery After Thoracic Surgery) am UKR wurde zur Verbesserung der perioperativen Versorgung etabliert. Ziele dieser Arbeit waren (1) die Beurteilung der Umsetzbarkeit sowie (2) wissenschaftliche Auswertung der Ergebnisse. Die Datenakquisition für diese prospektive Kohortenstudie erfolgte in der Abteilung für Thoraxchirurgie am UKR im Zeitintervall 07/2021 – 06/2022. Es wurden 139 Patienten ausgewertet. Nach initial durchgeführter Analyse der aktuellen Handlungsgrundsätze zeigte sich, dass es bereits vor Beginn dieser Studie eine teilweise Überschneidung der Handlungsgrundsätze gab. Insgesamt haben wir festgestellt, dass unser ERATS-Programm nach geringfügigen strukturellen Anpassungen und der Gewinnung des Interesses aller beteiligten Fachdisziplinen und Organisationseinheiten problemlos in die klinische Praxis implementiert werden konnte und nach wie vor unterstützenswert ist.

ERAS® (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) is a perioperative treatment protocol with broad acceptance in various surgical disciplines. The guidelines for ERAS after lung surgery were published in 2019 and have contributed to an intense focus on perioperative medicine in this specialty. The ERATS program (Enhanced Recovery After Thoracic Surgery) at the UKR was established to improve perioperative care. The aims of this study were (1) to assess the feasibility and (2) to scientifically evaluate the results. This prospective cohort study collected data between July 2021 and June 2022 at a Department of Thoracic Surgery at the UKR. The study included 139 patients undergoing elective lung resections. Many ERATS recommendations were already part of standard perioperative care. Overall, we found that our ERATS programme could be easily implemented in clinical practice after minor structural adjustments and gaining the interest of all participating specialist disciplines and organizational units and is worthy of support.
