Das Prostatakarzinom weist unter den Krebserkrankungen bei deutschen Männern die höchste Inzidenz und die zweithöchste Mortalität auf. Jedoch haben Patienten, bei welchen ein Prostatakarzinom in einem frühen Stadium erkannt wird, eine sehr hohe Überlebenschance. Eine strukturierte Prostatakarzinomfrüherkennung und -diagnose birgt dementsprechend ein großes Potential zur Verbesserung der Patientenversorgung in Deutschland. In dieser Arbeit wird die Erstellung eines digitalen Programms für die Prostatakarzinomfrüherkennung und -diagnose demonstriert. Die Entwicklung des Prototyps zeigt zusammen mit seiner Evaluation anhand von retrospektiven Patientendaten die Machbarkeit eines derartigen Systems.

Prostate cancer has the highest incidence and the second-highest mortality rate of all cancers in german men. However, patients who are diagnosed with prostate cancer at an early stage have a very high chance of survival. Structured early detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer therefore has great potential to improve patient care in Germany. This publication demonstrates the creation of a digital program for the early detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer. The development of the prototype, together with its evaluation using retrospective patient data, demonstrates the feasibility of such a system.
