Abstract
We report the synthesis of pyrene- and carboxyfluorescein labeled C-alpha-tetrasubstituted amino acids (TAAs). The fluorescent dye can be coupled to the TAA before or after its incorporation into a peptide sequence using a Suzuki-type C C bond formation.
