Abstract
In this paper a connection between the idea of design patterns in software engineering and the ISO standard for ergonomics in multimedia applications (ISO 14915) is drawn. Media Design Patterns are discussed as a contribution to multimedia engineering in the light of a greater need for multimedia content development methods.
