Abstract

Idiopathic pneumonia syndrome (IPS) is a frequently fatal complication following allogeneic stem cell transplantation (aflo-SCT). Experimental models have revealed that TNF-alpha contributes to pulmonary vascular endothelial cell (EC) apoptosis, and modulates the infiltration of donor leukocytes into the lung parenchyma.
