In this paper we describe the application of Web services towards language technology and terminology management. Starting from a short review of Web development, the notion of Web services is introduced and relevant standards in this area are briefly described. Following a motivation for converting language technology applications into Web services we give examples of such services based on a large language and terminology service developed over the last few years. The question of modelling language technology services is discussed as well. Finally, some technical details illustrate our Web service prototype.
