Abstract

X-linked isolated lissencephaly sequence (XLIS) and subcortical band heterotopia (SBH) are allelic disorders caused by mutations in the doublecortin (DCX) gene. This genetic analysis of seven families revealed four novel mutations in the DCX gene.
