We give a complete solution for the three-tangle of mixed three-qubit states composed of a generalized Greenberger Horne Zeilinger (GHZ) state, {\it a}|000\rangle+{\it b}|111\rangle, and a generalized W state, {\it c}|001\rangle+{\it d}|010\rangle+{\it f}|100\rangle.
